That...is a very bizarre website.

  • Civil servant spends 20 minute hitting on schoolgirl in Japan, gets arrested instead of a date
  • “But she looked 13!” is no excuse in the eyes of the Japanese law, 40-something man learns
  • Sapporo supermarket’s women’s restroom becomes unusually popular with guys last Sunday night
  • Policewoman’s posterior produces poetic justice as she arrests man she says groped her on train
  • Fake yakuza arrested in Tokyo after threatening man who was walking while staring at a smartphone
Gross.

From my OP.... (OP thread note: This thread is for news that is odd, wild, or just crazy… not looking for feedback or comment unless of course you just feel compelled.)

More for mirth; to remind us that humanity is batshit crazy on the fringe; to reassure us `normals` (and not so normals) that we are a tad ahead and yet near the abyss in human behaviour; and maybe just to lighten our days...

Are you, by any chance, implying that pixies do not exist? Do you realise that if you are allowed to get away with that, well-known and loved phenomena such as gremlins, elves, fairies, gnomes, and, yes, yōsei and yōkai, also go out with the refuse? Recant, for the sake of civilisation! Non-existent beings have rights too, you know!

"The octopus was uncooked and the carcass in pieces, though it’s unclear if that was due to damage from being tossed against the condominium over and over or if it had been cut into pieces by the perpetrator in order to be easier to throw."

I'm fascinated. How does a person cut an octopus to make it easier the throw? Is there a book?

Frankly, I thought it would be more important that you would have to remove all the suckers to stop it sticking to the condominium's wall, otherwise you would need a ladder to pull bits back off the wall to throw again.

I really must go to Japan one day and ask the Japanese detectives this question.

I've repeatedly thrown octopuses at buildings before. It's not because I have anything against octopuses or buildings or the occupants of said buildings, it's just because I've been bored in the past at coincidentally the same time as I've had octopuses to spare.

I challenge you to describe any plausible scenario where you would have spare octopuses.

How many time have you been at a bus stop, or walking on the street and some person has come up to you and said "Brother, Can you spare an octopus?" This happens to me all the time and I never have an octopus to spare.

I always have spare octopuses when coming home from market planning to make any fried calamari dish.

On a coincidental related note....some nature show on tv last night said that at night squid come up from the depths and there is more squid than anything else in the ocean. I mean: given the number of plankton, krill, eggs etc.....that could only be true on a by weight measure? And even that rings untrue to me. Many times more than we realize I could buy alternatively. I don't know how any of it could be measured or estimated...……….. but then, I'm not a scientist, or an extremist.

Nearly every time I have one or more octopuses, I have one or more spare octopuses.

This is the inherent nature of me having any octopuses, since normally I have no use for them.
