The lower courts are accepting some limitations on gun ownership/usage, that will likely eventually need to be sorted out by the Supreme Court. Though of limited geographic applicability, this article lists 10 such restrictions which lower courts have affirmed.

Sure looks like a requirement to show liability insurance priced to pay for all the damage that guns do would be common sense and constitutionally valid.
