Here is a $30MM Home I could Enjoy

I'm not turned on by the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Trumps gold plated everything would be painful to be around, but this Getty Mansion is quite the exception. I think I would enjoy living there quite a bit. "Maybe" a little bit more marble than I am initially attracted to......but I'm willing to make sacrifices. LOOK AT THOSE VIEWS!!!!

I also like the Hunting Lodge that Hearst used. Love the Log Cabin on the Lake Shore experience. Almost bought a down scale version...but job did not work out. (( :( The WHERE you live of it all....like your marriage....affects your life. Its an area worth making some wise decisions about. Maybe.............I shoulda tried to make more money than I did?????? Ha, ha. sorry fool...... you had your chance.

thats true enough. I assume owners are off vacationing in the South of France and writing it off as a business or charity expense?

There are some interesting Youtubes of guys exploring abandoned properties.... lots of old mansions. Sad in a way.

It's a bit ostentatious for a bakery.

Bakery? Did you notice the wonderful kitchen? Easy to bake my croissants, cheese stickes, or German Chocolate forest Gatteau in there....plus, what I don't have now, is a nice terrace to eat the same on.....

Actually...... I must have driven past this place 5-6 times and never really noticed it. Driving a car in the hills of SF will do that though. It not being ostentatious, (in my mind), is actually one of its draws. it seems to fit in that neighborhood, even with the single digit million $ homes as neighbors. The hill hides the multi-stories.
