Daisy theatre / Puppets / Canada

I went to a Canadian puppet show last night for the Sydney Summer Festival

It was very good. It is improvised, with one puppeteer doing everything. However the highlight was "Canada's worst Shakespearean actress" where he invited members of the audience go on stage and be humiliated. It was in a similar vein of humour to our Dame Edna Everidge.

Ronnie Burkett was complementary about the Australian audience having the same sense of humour as Canadians, and then started to take the piss out of Australians. I think that was a compliment.

Was Ronnie Burkett complementary of complimentary?
