Oh {!#%@}, the servile retards from the Nobel Committee couldn't find a third rate anti-Putin writer in Russia so they gave it to the good old Bob.

Those imperial Baltic lap dogs are busy as bees giving the Nobel peace prizes to certified war criminals (aka Henry Kissinger in 1973) and the presidents competing in number of wars started and tonnage of bombs dropped around the world. Giving the prize to Obama even before he started assassinating and bombing people big time still remains a record in the imperial ass kissing. The committee of five Swedes and five Norwegians ( I think) can now be recognized on sight on account of their shiny brown noses.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bob's music and his lyrics but as David Yearsley writes in Counterpunch; "Leave it to the Swedish Academy to wipe away the last gelatinous blob of credibility or interest their annual awards might have retained up until the moment the Dylan announcement was made." In other words, Bob Dylan is great...as a pop singer.

Next time, sure as hell the Nobel Prize for Literature will go to the guy who specializes in writing "{!#%@} Putin" on the public washroom walls in Moscow. Well...either that or it's gonna be Ted Nugent.

Or maybe even Trump... he seems to have a few slogans floating around that have enegized millions. Not that they would know what a Nobel Prize is, or what literature is for that matter... :D

If Trump wins the elections those idiots will give him three Noble prices; peace, literature and economics. The last one will be for making himself a billionaire while going bankrupt all the time. ;)

Hmmmmmm... I get it that you find the Nobel committee that awarded the prize for Literature to Dylan, is collectively damned by their stupidity.
Can I infer from that that you find all such awards meaningless, offensive.... insignificant for the arts OR the artist?
Certainly a good case can be made for such a claim: I am inclined to think of the Nobel prizes as increasingly without unimportance if they ever had any.
(Although to be perfectly honest, my attitude IS more than probably colored by my disappointment that my son has never received what I believed would be simply routine).

But since you haven''t really made such a claim, or even offered such a suggestion, , perhaps you could name whomever it IS that you think MIGHT be eligible for recognition for his/her contribution to the verbal arts?

Which novelist, which poet, would you, could you approve of?

What written, read, heard, lately has made your toes tingle?
I think what I am saying, asking, is that you are eloquent about who and what you dislike, or find inferior, or just plain foolish.
But what or whom do you LOVE, or even admire?
Although...... when it comes to writing (as with the visual arts) it's really a matter of passion at first sight.
Or sound.
And where there is passion, reason can falter.

P.S. It occurs to me that the Nobel Committee might have heard this just before coming to a decision, and were co-opted by memories of girls they might once have known.... committees are human:

Oh {!#%@}! Have I ever painted myself into the proverbial corner. Quickly, I've got to google famous writers and poets so I can throw something to the lions, pardon me, lioness and pretend that I am widely read and cultured and that I even understand why the Samuel Beckett's hero pissed in the pot kept under his bed.

And who is going to be the jury, you? And you are...an expert in literary criticism? I don't know, you could turn out to be a bible thumper who has read only one book in life many, many times and we know which book of fantastic stories and fables that would be.

You want me to undergo an instant examination, right here, on the spot because you feel that otherwise I can't criticize what the Nobel Prize committee does. It's like, you can't criticize war unless you've killed somebody in one or you can't criticize Hillary unless you run for president of something, preferably a large country somewhere. My dreaded high school comes to mind and I fear I'll get nightmares tonight.

Honestly, I would like to go without Google but my memory is killing me. Wait, Steppen Wolf I did read and liked it a lot...can't remember now why. Those were nineteen sixties, so much time and so much dope. Our entire socialist (which turned out to be more sexualist at the end) commune read it.

And who the hell was the writer whose hero kills a man on a beach in Algiers because of gnawing existential dread? And what the {!#%@} is the existential dread? If I only could remember. Oh hell, that's what google is for, nobody will know.

And how about those rats coming out of the Parisian sewers puking blood. Shocking and what a nausea. Oh, that was another guy Sartre, he actually refused the Nobel prize. Pasternak did it too. And now it looks it's gonna be Bob Dylan.

A member of the Swedish Academy that awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in literature to Bob Dylan says the American singer-songwriter's silence since receiving the honor is 'impolite and arrogant.'
Per Wastberg said Dylan's lack of reaction to the honor the academy bestowed on him last week was predictable, but disrespectful nonetheless.
'One can say that it is impolite and arrogant. He is who he is,' Wastberg was quoted as saying in Saturday's edition of the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
Wastberg said the academy still hopes to communicate with the 75-year-old artist, whose Nobel credits him with creating 'new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition'.

Good, old and I might add a great man. {!#%@} the Swedish Academy and especially that douche bag Per Wastberg. Who says that a genius has to be polite especially to the Academy? And thus, here I come to the point explaining why I am so critical of the {!#%@}. It's political, simple, it's because they have became the propaganda puppet of the evil empire.

Oh, they can give their free {!#%@} money to whomever they want but the few (actually two and might be three) people with the greatest integrity and the greatest talent actually have been brave enough to refuse their thirty silver pieces and I take my old, well worn hat off to them.
