Creepy clown scare

Post by KevinLevites » Sun Oct 22, 2017 2:05 pm

Have any of you guys heard about a creepy clown hysteria going on lately?

Evidentally, evil clowns are trying to lure hapless children into the woods, schools have gone on lockdown, and even the White House press secretary said something.

This was before King's recent movie It, although there was an earlier miniseries in the 90's.

Have any of you heard anything about this?

The luring kids thing is new to me. But considering these people could be anyone, it makes sense that some of them would do this.

There was a viral internet campaign, about three years ago for a USA rock band that has an evil clown mascot. The remake of "It" has simply kept up some interest. We even have people trying to post evil clown stories, in the Stephen King style, on our forum. :D

I can't {!#%@} stand creepy clowns. Especially since he disrespected our country by colluding with Russia, insulting war heroes, undermining our intelligence community and for being a white supremacist moron.

It falls into the category of mass hysteria (look it up on Wiki). A collective delusion.

Mass hysteria is when some message gets out to people, like crazy clowns, and all the idiots start to see them. It is often imaginary illnesses, witches, satanic rituals, imaginary mass murderers, and even Little Grey Men from outer space. So the total morons believe it, and start to see them, and report them. Innocent people get persecuted, and even killed. Totally all in the mind.

Normally I'd agree with you Lance......but this clown thing, and especially dressing up animals to look like evil clowns, is more than a delusion.

I think its a fun sign that people are taking the piss out of themselves by doing the dumbest thing they can do. I think it is an example of "displaying my idiocy as a joke" like the hosts did on that Jackass television show.

It is good and healthy when people can do that, Matthew. But as I understand it from my reading, It began as a mass hysteria.

Don't you cook them first?

I've heard that they can be a little stringy when they're raw.

No, we like our game young and fresh, very tasty. What do you suggest?
I was thinking of a disjoint, interlarding with a nice Demi-glace after roasting. Raw is OK though.

Like your make-up, that response is mixed up and makes no sense. Raw or Roasted? There's no arguing, Demiglace is always nice. Every main dish needs a sauce.

Sorry for the confusion. I was brought up to eat raw fresh game ever since my spawning. If I had to try to be sophisticated and eat kinder with finesse, I would always choose a demiglace after spit roasting.

Agreed bring some kids around for dinner one night: I am sure they would give an arm and a leg to meet me.

So, its a long term play?............Have fun. Be careful though........thoughts (eg: role playing) can takeover/infringe/tarnish the clever instincts that brought them into play. Its a kind of Power of Negative Thinking sort of thing. You don't have to succumb to it, be know that it is there. Kinda like Beer Drinking. Fun in moderation, but some can't handle it. You've got your clown face, I've got my beer gut.

its all about choices. If you want to be most effective..... mix it up, don't be a 100% clown. Too rich a diet.

Speaking of Beer Gut.......I'm actually sipping my Hard Cider right now. The web was right...it is a nice alternative to beer, with the self limiting factor that I can't drink one after another until I fall asleep...........and the apples are free. The future is so bright....I could almost afford a college education these days.

Its summer here and Cider 8% alc.vol rocks me. Beautiful sitting here under the bridge waiting for victims having a nice cold one. I love the taste of apples, goes well with chilled tiger prawns.
