The Zombie Autopsies

This week on MonsterTalk, we interview Harvard medical doctor Steven Schlozman, author of The Zombie Autopsies and get inside the walking dead to discuss a plausible mechanism for the zombie apocalypse. It took a lot of guts, but in this episode we discuss:

* How did a doctor become interested in zombies?
* What can zombies teach us about neurology?
* Which is scarier:infection or cannibalism?
* Why don’t zombies have sex?
* What’s the best way to slice a brain?
* What do brains taste like?

Plus much, much more!

Wait: zombies don't have sex???

I don't think Dr. Schlozman has been to the same Halloween parties I have.

Obviously your zombies were a lot fresher & hadn't lost the necessary parts yet. Or you were just highly creative.

I'm male. My zombies don't require "necessary parts."

I dunno, that's a little too any-port-in-a-storm for my taste.

Loved the interview with Dr. Schlozman. He was great—I love it when someone can say, “look this isn’t real, but if it was...” and then spin a plausible impossibility.

So I went out to Amazon and grabbed the book based on the interview, but I gotta say, not a big thumbs up there. It wasn’t really much of a story—more like the back story you’d write before writing a story. It was way short too, not even quite novella length. Great premise for a novel, but not really much of a novel. Still I don’t mind voting with my dollars to reward a great premise. Just hope he’ll do more with it in the future.

This sounds so fun, Zombies...LOL
But I actually love shifters and scifi more than Zombies, but I will give this a try and look it up on amazon. I read a good self-pub Zombie called As the World Dies. Tor Publishing picked it up.

I hope you check my books out http://amiblackwelder.blogspot.com
Shifters of 2040 is free on scribed, obooko, nook and soon on kindle!
