New cryptid discovered

Post by Monster » Thu Mar 23, 2017 3:01 am

On a dark and scary night, sometime recently1, some guy2 took this photo of an unknown creature. No one knows exactly where the photo was taken3. Can anyone identify this bizarre creature? Does it need to be blurrier to make it more identifiable? You know, the way cryptids usually are identified.

Is it the shadow of an elephant, that has had its tusks cut off by a New York Street gang, that lurks in dark alleys seeking revenge?

I think it's clearly a bug that landed on the lens of our fearless investigator.

It is simply a hand shadow puppet.. but first combing and perming that hand and arm hair to make those scales must have been a bitch...

The same guy managed to get another shot of this creature's shadow. Unfortunately, since the image is too clear, we may never be able to identify this cryptid.

I had that same vibe too and went looking. You beat me to it. I don't know if it is right yet and we seen to be missing teeth and the three toes on each of the beast's feet.

It's okay, we have a seven-tentacled octopus waiting in the wings.

Hey, kids! I feel like revealing the creature whose photograph I took. Here it is. It's a plastic dinosaur made by the company Schleich and it's a barapasaurus.

That might not be such a god idea. When that thing came around here, the Authorities tried to ride it. That did not go well.

Schleich makes some sweet toys. I've bought dinosaurs and smurfs from them in the past.

I like to make the dinosaurs eat the smurfs....

Sorry but no. You have to first compress the image into a shoddy GIF format, shrink the file by 75% using MS Paint and then upscale it in Photoshop with pixel neighbor interp set to 'Gaussian blur'. Only then can we call the picture a cryptid~ :P
