I work in this industry. The paper is irrelevant to the concept of copyright and is only concerned with what is the economic loss if copyright infringement is not legally pursued and funded.

At no point does the paper suggest that the owners of the works (copyright holders) should not be the owners of their work with the right to do with their property as they wish.

If the paper was suggesting intellectual property laws were a waste of time, which it isn't, then Warners, Sony, BMG and so on would not be producing the works to sell in the first place.

Did not Marx say one of the problems of capitalism was alienating the worker from his product? Yet you are taking the capitalistic position.
