Actually, English is the best language. By far the largest vocabulary with all shades of meaning possible. Still fun to find different word/ideas expressed in different languages. the famous one being schadenfreude...which can be easily expressed in English but we don't have a single word for the idea....except for using schadenfreude which is totally acceptable....and why English is the best language. I admit: French "sounds" better....but we think with words. English, is the best language. Sad our grandkiddies will be treading water yelling for help in Chinese. Chinese is a terrible language.

Gord is the etymologist, but I assume all things that "carry" are cars. ( Cable cars, boxcars on trains and so on) :D
