Climate change 'impacts women more than men'
By Mary Halton
BBC News, science reporter

Women are more likely than men to be affected by climate change, studies show.

UN figures indicate that 80% of people displaced by climate change are women.

Roles as primary caregivers and providers of food and fuel make them more vulnerable when flooding and drought occur.

The 2015 Paris Agreement has made specific provision for the empowerment of women, recognising that they are disproportionately impacted.

How the hell does that work? Do men stay in affected areas, and women leave? But then how is that not affecting the men too? And what about the regions where the women go? Or is it the women who stay behind, and the men leave? Doesn't that also affect both sexes equally?

This would only make sense to me if there were regions of the world where 80% of the population was female, and they were migrating to other areas of the world where 80% of those populations were also female.
