Try this one, it should stick around. (It's an interview with Jake Tapper, prolly also available later from CNN. Edit: The first link is from CNN and seems to run if one goes to it from their account but not via the posted link. Weird...)

A lot of countries are shitholes.....or large portions of countries are shitholes. Its not the country, or the people, but the culture. If you would rather be in prison in the USA than in some country.......what would you call that place?

Racist!!!!!!===>all too easy.

In new Quinnipiac Poll, 66% of people feel the economy is “Excellent or Good.” That is the highest number ever recorded by this poll. --djt

Same poll: "Who is more responsible for the economy?"

Trump 40% (-3)
Obama 49% (+4)

- 59 - 38 percent, that he does not care about average Americans;

I think Seth Moulton will be a dark horse - he is apparently planning on making a run and has all the makings of a star candidate. I'd vote for him.

Is West Virginia a shithole, I wonder? Central Pennsylvania (I think VSG once said so)? How about the old steel towns along the Great Lakes? The Deep South? Chicago, for sure. The shitholes are endless . . .

How do you break the chain of insider bought and sold career politicians from continuing their sell out to the AllReadyTooRich except by electing a "real" outsider?

Whats all the hating on Oprah? Self made billionaire???? I thought being a successful CEO was a highwater mark of success for any political office? You know.....hosting a talk show is not what made Oprah rich?

I can't imagine why we would emigrate in any meaningful numbers. Our GDP per capita is higher than the US, we have universal Healthcare and free eduction. The only Norwegians emigrating there are either hoping for showbiz careers, or taking a job at a big multinational. What emigration we have is more often to Spain or Thailand, where a Norwegian pension check can get a quite comfortable living.

Trump could use some reminding though, that when Norwegians emigrated in droves during the 19th Century, they emigrated from a (at the time) shithole country. Norway then was overpopulated and poor, and migrants were often uneducated peasant sons (with family) who had little prospects at home, but could drum up the money for a steamboat ticket. Today I have seen it estimated that there are over 5 million americans that can claim some Norwegian ancestry, centred on the midwest states. But we weren't loved back then either, just as the Irish, Italians and Polish weren't at different times. I have seen a documentary about the slum "Little Norway" in NY in that period. Wasn't very nice.

But I Guess immigrants are assumed democrats anyway, but Norwegians would at least be w h i t e. ya know?

During my visit to Sweden, I had occasion to talk to some young folks who have babies they will be placing in day care soon. We chatted about odd concepts like all children are guaranteed a spot, teachers and staff who receive decent pay, etc. Finally I asked the parents if the care is subsidized in any way. Everyone laughed. And laughed.

Scandinavian countries are full of, in Republican terms, big guvmint-loving freeloaders who are so dumb that they pay high taxes. White as Norwegians may be, do we really want such values - an attachment to entitlements, modern and well-maintained infrastructure, universal healthcare, free higher education (in Sweden that includes living expenses) - brought to laissez-faire USA?

VSG has explained the cancelation of his trip to London - it's, surprisingly, Obama's fault (most such {!#%@} are caused by Hillary Clinton): “Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for ‘peanuts,’ only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!” (Prez W, not O, initiated the embassy relocation from Grosvenor Square to Nine Elms which VSG is using as an excuse for chickening out of his London visit.)

I hadn't thought of that connection. It looks very plausible. He had to do something drastic to redeem himself with them. White House staffers are not even bothering to deny the "shithole countries" comment, saying it will resonate with his base. Which means they are no longer bothering to deny that his whole constituency basely and basically consists of vicious racists.

It's been a trend with various companies to lay off workers to make up for their generous FAKE tax cut bonuses.

At least Normay now has some of the latest F-52 fighter jets (the manufacture of these super sophisticated aircraft is, sadly, outsourced to Nambia, a shithole in Africa) :)

I hope all people of Irish and Italian descent in this country will take a few minutes to recollect how their countries were viewed by most Americans 150 years ago.

Right now, as Trump has (predictably) begun to deny that he said what he said, I want to know if Sen. Graham will have the guts to tell people he said it. According to Durbin, Graham was there and remonstrated with Trump about that. How much would you gamble on Graham's integrity? Will any journalist be gauche enough to just ASK THE {!#%@} QUESTION of him?

“This is CNN Tonight. I’m Don Lemon. The president of the United States is racist.”

In other news, Durbin confirms that Trump spoke as reported: https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/ ... e-comments. No word from the VSG's golfing pal. Durbin add to his comments, “For the record, my colleague, Republican senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina spoke up and made a direct comment on what the president said. I was very proud of him. It took courage for what he did. For him to confront the president as he did, literally sitting next to him, took extraordinary political courage and I respect him for it.” No doubt Lindsey will be asked about this detail . . .

White House sources have also told reporters off the record that they think the President’s comments will please his base.

This one must have been celebrating...

Poof goes the "but they're terrorists" line of argument, and along with it the "but they're taking working class jobs" diversion: the president of the United States has stated, clearly, that he wants to curtail "shithole" immigration - and welcomes "Norwegian" (read: Aryan) immigration; the policy behind this is white nationalism - an attempt to reverse demographic trends that make the US increasingly and multiethnic society.

When Trump tweets, as he did yesterday, that Dems want crime and drugs brought into this country, what he means of course is that Dems welcome diverse newcomers, some of whom ("shithole" people) Trump equates with crime and drugs.

Trump's approach to immigration is based on white nationalism, his appeal (according to Jesse Waters at FOX - “this is how the forgotten men and women of America talk at the bar”) is white nationalist, and his ranting and raving about terrorism and crime are ways he euphemizes white nationalism.

Let's just hope this latest testimony won't have a similar effect as blocking Chad...
