The million dollars thing is some Living Waters propaganda that's being given out these days. My coworker got it today and gave it to me. This was in Stamford, CT. My image of it shows the back and front. It's actually a really good looking fake bill.

I actually like the smell of skunk, but not as a deodorant. It burns if you get it in your eyes, though, and it makes animals sneeze if they get it up their noses. It sort of smells like human armpit sweat, old leather, bad coffee, and burnt marijuana all mixed together.

Oh, and very pungent. If there's a dead skunk on the road, you can smell it downwind for a mile or so. Like living next to a factory.

It's some Anime character, right?
I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
Spoiler:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

I think it is interesting, in that this is a good example how our brains have evolved to recognise things, quickly. With just a few visual "hints", a couple of lines tell us that it is a nude woman or two people dancing.

I think we can apply the brain's evolved method of identifying things to other human activities. I think another classical example is when a magician uses misdirection. The magician's right hand gathers our brain's attention, by setting off all the right triggers "look here" while the left hand does all the tricks unnoticed.

What about double entendres in language humour? A comedian will say a line that sounds totally normal the first time around, then we, the listener picks up on the double meaning of a word and laugh. I'm not sure, but I think it is the same sort of brain thing going on, where brains evolved to recognise things.

Gone for a "P".

The "Carry On" series didn't seem to work in the USA. I don't know why. I can't see much difference regarding the sense of humour, shared by Brits, Aussies and Americans.

Frankly, I don't mind really dumb humour. The Americans can do it with ease with movies like Gomer Pyle, Spinal Tap and Dumb and Dumber.

True, but that particular video is ruined before you click on it as the one guy is nailing the "P" onto the sign, so we know automatically what he meant by "he's gone for a pee".

It's the music and the funny language they're speaking. If the only spoke American and had more dramatic music, everyone would love them.

Even though it's funny, humor created by dumb characters is kind of a disappointment. It's just too easy. Michael Scott on the American "The Office" is a good example. "I'm not superstitious. Just a little stitious." -- Michael Scott.
