...it used to be so simple, once upon a time.
Because the universe was full of ignorance all around and the scientist panned through it like a prospector crouched over a mountain stream, looking for the gold of knowledge among the gravel of unreason, the sand of uncertainty, and the little whiskery eight-legged swimming things of superstition.

Obviously one of the Japanese boars that got superpowers from the radioactivity of Fukoshima:

I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
Spoiler:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

Here's a British comedy panel show I really like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZGQcGfjlmY

They do love to talk about Trump, too.

I'm not big on stand-up myself, however, so I don't like the end where they take turns at the mike. I often just skip to the credits when they go there.

That was an excellent video.

The first "reverse troller" was an Englishman, in the 1970s, who used the name "Henry Root".

Back then you trolled by mail.

My favourite exchange of his, was with a leading fashion model agency in London. He wrote to them and said he wanted "some girls" to entertain his clients and the girls didn't have to have sex with more that two or three clients. The model agency wrote back saying that if Mr Root didn't stop contacting him they would send his letter to the crown prosecutor. Henry Root wrote back and said it was the Crown prosecutor who recommended he contact the model agency. The letters keep going back and forth until the penny dropped at the agency.
