Lance: take any of the numbered points I made and actually be relevant.

All right.

Take your last point, about Palestinians not accepting the first peace plan.

Let us transfer that to the USA to make it personal. The USA has just been conquered by China. Americans are given a three way choice.
1. Get kicked out into foreign lands.
2. Be allocated the Arizona desert to live in.
3. Fight back.

I have no doubt whatever that the choice accepted would be to fight back. That is the situation Palestinians were put in , and they chose to fight back. Anyone who criticizes them for making that choice is an arsehole of the first degree.

You call THAT being relevant?

..............but, I'll play along: What do you think China would do?

I said personal, not relevant. I was trying to get you to feel empathy. What China would do is irrelevant. It is what Americans would do that addresses your last point.

No Lance: its what the WINNER, the SUPERIOR FORCE does that is most determinative. Usually: they don't put up with too much BS before they decide to push the enemy into the sea.

That is a horrible approach, Bobbo.

Humanity should have moved on beyond that. It is called civilisation.
It is a justification for bullying and murder. Israel gets away with playing the bully because of the support it gets, mainly these days from the USA.

We deride Nazi Germany for its inhumane actions. We should deride Israel also for its inhumane actions. The irony is that Israel, populated by Jews who were so terribly treated by the Nazis, is now treating another helpless people in the same way. Disgusting !

LOOK!!!! .... ....====>There is a fork in the road. One way goes to what is humane and recognizes the humanity of every person on earth, a few other animal and plant species, and a few rocks.

The other way goes to what is going to happen given that everyone proclaims the other road, but actually travels this road.

You can advocate for what has never been, or deal with reality.

So, I googled (violence israel what did the palestinians do may) and found this still not detailed enough review: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-44104599

It was rather a culmination of weeks of protests at the border.

What should anyone do if a group of people peacefully protest their conditions at your nations security fence? Those on the humanitarian fork in the road will say let them do that and their message be clearly heard. Now....is burning tires, using lethal slings and slingshots, and rolling burning tires into a border security fence "peaceful" or a notch up from that???

The article lists 3 people suspects of trying to plant an ied at the border fence. Should they be treated only as criminal suspects and arrested.....or does time, place, and circumstance justify anything more?

The article also made the argument that what the Israeli Army is concerned with is the fence being "breached" and hordes of Palestinians storming into Israel to wreak havoc on the civilians they would eventually come across. Well, perhaps that is valid in a "worst case" scenario.....but I chalk it up to the days, weeks, months, years of violence and the declared intent of the Palestinians to wipe Israel (and Jews) off the face of the map.

Any enemy is rarely given humanitarian notice DURING an active confrontation.

Bobbo

I have never claimed the Palestinian protests were peaceful or non violent. In fact I made it clear that being violent was a major mistake of theirs. So stop the straw man, OK ?

But the Israeli response was majorly disproportionate. Indeed, I would call it evil. Border protests, even when a little bit violent, do not justify 50 people being shot dead.

At the end of the day, the Israelis are still the bad guys. They stole Palestinian lands and territory.

Lance

I have never claimed you claimed the Palestinian protest were non violtent. In fact I made it clear that I questioned and did not know what the activities (violent and non-violent) on both sides of the border were. So stop the straw man, OK?

But the Israeli response was to be expected as they gave notice via megaphone and leaflet drops that border violence would not be tolerated. Indeed, I would call it evil. Border protests, even when a little bit violent, do not justify 50 people being shot dead.........but that was not the sole activity/concern taking place as linked to above.

At the end of the day, the Palestinians are still the bad guys. They lost several wars and think they have a right of return.

Just look at History...........including your own.

This is not medieval times, and civilised societies no longer believe that having more guns give you the right to steal land off other people. Get modern, Bobbo.
