Happy?
https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/world/n ... aland-rank
Norway now ranks the happiest country on Earth, according to the latest survey. The top ten are :
Norway
Denmark
Iceland
Switzerland
Finland
Netherlands
Canada
New Zealand
Australia
Sweden
The USA comes in at 14th.
It cannot be money, since Norway has risen in the happiness scale while its income has dropped, due to a drop in oil price. What makes a happy country?

Re: Happy?
A lack of war?
Trust in one's government (whether founded or unfounded)?
Individual freedom?
Stupidity?

People who say ALWAYS and NEVER are usually wrong, part of the time.
Science answers questions, Philosophy questions answers.
Make sense, not war.

Re: Happy?
My own feeling is that security ranks high. Not a guarantee of happiness, of course. But it is hard to be happy if you are under some kind of threat. Certainly, the top nations in that list are very secure places.
Looking at the bottom placed nations is also revealing. We see places like Yemen, Sudan, Somalia. Places with poverty and civil war.
