IKR? Where is that caravan of vicious invaders?
Asked to explain why they hate Jews, anti-Semites contradict themselves. Jews are always showing off; they are hermetic and secretive. They will not assimilate; they assimilate only too well. They are too religious; they are too materialistic, and a threat to religion. They are uncultured; they have too much culture. They avoid manual work; they work too hard. They are miserly; they are ostentatious spenders. They are inveterate capitalists; they are born Communists. And so on.

Probably scared, shrunk and slowed down by the tread of FAUX spews (they promised leprosy!). So much so that the Department of Depends dropped "Operation Faithful Patriot" in favor of "border support".

from twitter----Your 3 super stars (Abrams, Gillum, and Beto) all lost. Republicans expanded control over the Senate. That means the courts are ours. You do know this, right?

The fact that you call the courts partisan shows a lack of democratic sentiment.

But yes, the US Separation of Power is still {!#%@}, but with the Democrats controlling the House, at least we are now allowed to use lube.

The judiciary should be completely separate from party politics.
But that's just me ranting about the separation of powers that the founding fathers wanted.

no question.

But it is interesting to note that, on average, Supreme Court Justices have, over their time on the bench, become more liberal instead of more conservative.

But that's the problem. Party and partisan politics has evolved into a form of tribalism that is less concerned for the public good, than in beating the "other side." It's a recipe for gridlock, instead of a team of non-partisan responsible individuals looking out for the best interests of the country.
Too much to wish for? Maybe. Laugh now if you like.

He doesn't need them anymore, so Trump stopped funding them. Obviously.

So I didn't watch Trump's press sulk, because...well why would I. Does this video tell me everything I need to know, or did something of actual substance take place that I haven't heard about yet?

It's been said that nothing counts and can be rejected under an unconstitutional/illegitimate AG like the currently acting (and looking) one seems to be.* Is that a good or a bad thing for the likes of Manafort and friends?

And why does such a rule not apply to an unconstitutional presnident?

Highlighted critical bit:

Republicans don't mind other Republicans being rich - it is only a problem when the people we don't like have more than we do; by definition, they must be undeserving.

It was my misfortune to be having lunch at a tavern where the damn thing was being broadcast on a large screen two meters in front of my face. Believe me, he has learned NOTHING since becoming President. He still sees the entire universe as being one conquering-hero/suffering-hero drama with himself at the center of it. One does get VERY tired of hearing nothing but boasting and whining, but that's what's on offer. Truly, this man is incapable of understanding a sentence that doesn't refer directly to him.

So the problem with Florida man Scott not having won his election is not that all votes haven't been counted yet, but, according to him, it's because Liberals are trying to steal the election. And, according to the Great Pumpkin, it's (also) because the voting system in a certain district is run by a woman.

And Hair Furor (thanks to whoever invented that---it really fits) is off to Paris, and is starting with his usual panache, stating the exact opposite of the truth. (No, idiot! Macron did not say anything about "defending Europe against the United States.")

So, it looks like another triumphal foreign tour in the making.

ETA: Hmm, that last link has now been updated, and it appears Macron is kissing Trump's ass. Jesus! What hope is there for the world when this {!#%@} can get what he wants by insulting the leaders of other countries?

Please elaborate. This didn't make the latest news feed. Oh well, it undoubtedly will have done by the time I next check in, tomorrow morning.

Aha! Found it! This is priceless! For months we've been hearing about what a low-down stinking polecat Jeff Sessions is, and now it appears Trump hired Whitaker "because he worked for Attorney General Sessions." Well, I'm sure that was just too high a qualification for Trump to pass up. Certainly good enough for me, if good ol' Jeff hired him.

ETA: Among other Republicans, Susan Collins is pressing for legislation to keep Mueller at work. Well, Susan, I hope you are doing that because it's the Right Thing, and not in the hope of getting some Democratic votes in 2020, because they are NOT going to be there.

More on that guy and his longstanding relationship with and service to Trump.
...the chief of staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions...“...let it be known [in the White House] that he was on a team, and that was the president’s team.”

...

The New York Times reported that “the president has long regarded Mr. Whitaker as his eyes and ears” inside the Justice Department, adding that Whitaker had “been a frequent White House visitor.” And Axios reported that “Trump likes and trusts Whitaker.”...

Yeah, the issue is whether Whitaker needs to recuse himself. If Trump and he talked frequently, he surely does, hence the preposterous lie.
