There'll be wassailing (the orchard and the banging of drums and pots & pans) and the gnawing of beef.

And then some housecleaning.

I would say "airing of grievances," but that's been going on for almost 10 years.

To celebrate, Pyrrho is going to look the other way while each member of this forum lets every other member of this forum know what we really think of each other. I also heard he is going to send each member of this forum a $50 gift card to our store of choice. He is also going to provide food and drinks.

The "hide posts from ignored users" feature also seems to be stopping the page from going past the top when I click on it. It doesn't go down to the first unread post. Overall I'd be happier with the little lines of oblivion than having to remember where I left off in a thread.

In a fast breaking forum, following my `submit` I frequently see that an intervening post requires that I re-submit. The message that notifies me is easily overlooked, and I have lost several posts this way. It would be helpful if that notice were in a larger font, and colored RED so that my old and tired eyes don`t miss it.

Not a suggestion, just a comment.

I was just reading a thread where the initiator requested suggestions about how to bring guest speakers to an elementary school class. I was struck by the willingness of forum members to provide thoughtful insights and really try to give the initiator lots of options and information, spending a significant amount of time. I simply wanted to post a "well done" here, and voice my continued respect.

Why?

In my experience, that's pretty normal. We're just sitting around the pickle barrel; someone comes in, asks for directions to Richmond, we give them what advise we can; someone comes in, asks for directions to Atlantis, we make fun of them for trying to go to a fictional place; someone comes in, tries to sell something or to start a fight, shopkeeper Pyrrho throws them out.

And then we all steal his pickles.
