phpBB server intrusion

The main site for phpBB was shut down recently because of a security breach. Details are currently posted there:

We use phpBB forum software here. However, this site is not at risk because of the event at phpBB.

Posted here as an FYI.

Change your passwords regularly anyway.

Would this explain why the site kept momentarily freezing on me yesterday?

It's okay I found out the cause of the temporary freezing was the expansion of swamp gas during the full moon as Venus was rising and besides it was just a bird.
