Oleg restarted posting on May 6 2016. ( Mid Spring in Canada)

I don't really know, but I'm guessing Oleg is really some sort of vegetative alien humanoid who has adapted to Earth's seasons.

Thank Glob. My wrists were really starting to hurt from all this typing.

Hello, just saying hi. Wow, that was redundant. I've been up all night, as often happens when I get rather fascinated with a topic and spend all night researching it. That was the case tonight and that led me here.

I guess I'm a bit weird. I am a skeptic, but I also run a YouTube channel in which I narrate horror stories that people claim truly happen to them. I'm extremely open with my subscribers that I personally really do not believe the vast majority of the stories and none of the paranormal ones. But I enjoy scaring people too, so I read the stories.

I've also dabbled in debunking on my channel. I debunked a silly video about a guy in Russia who supposedly claimed he made a homunculus from a chicken egg and another which supposedly was a real life kidnapping on camera. I've considered doing more but there are much better debunkers than me on YouTube.

Anyway, I am rambling. From looking around here this looks like a great forum and I look forward to posting here.

I always thought the free donuts went to the member who correctly figured how much donut it would take to fill the hole. And showed their work.

Gord wrote:Are those Timbits or Robin's Eggs?

Timbits it was the only pics that came up on a Google search. I do go to Robins a lot more than Tim's though. Like probably for every 50 times I go to Robins I'll go to Tim's once. I know it is sacrilege to say this, but Tim's coffee just isn't that great, especially comparing dark roast, which is what I mostly buy.

I go to Timmies infinitely more often than Robin's on account of, there is no Robin's here. If there were, it would be some other ratio.

Yeah Robins doesn't quite have the reach Tims has. As a matter of fact I'm not even sure if it extends beyond Ontario borders and even then it is way behind Tims, Coffee Time, Country Style, Starbucks and Second Cup as far as locations go.

Though my visits to Robins is probably going to take a hit as a new local coffee shop just opened up near me and it has better coffee/selection and a better atmosphere though a little more expensive.

We've got a few in Winnipeg. Maybe a dozen even, I'm not sure. I did a google search, but one of the places listed as a "Robin's" is just an equipment shack in the CN railyards. :befuddled:

I prefer Robin's Eggs to Timbits, but I prefer Timmy's coffee to Robin's. But I don't go to either one very much. Once or twice a year, each.

I live in Saskatchewan and we only had our first Tim Horton's in the late 90's. Yet, as soon as they had established themselves here, they were already announcing some age-long anniversary celebration as though they've been here since the 60's!! Robin's Donuts IS something that was already around though.

I was insulted by the way the likely Ontario Tim Horton's establishment thought that ALL of Canada had Tim Horton's from their egocentric history.

Not here in my province until the late 1990s as it began equally expanding into the U.S.

It was only in the East. It is like saying that some New York original franchise that existed there for a century just recently expands to all states but then celebrates its universal-hood of being a part of all the states since its inception.

Almost as SOON as they opened here, to which no one here even heard of it, they celebrated being present throughout Canada since the 1960s. This is also spread to the consciousness of the U.S. when it is uniquely of only one or two provinces in the East here. Our country is biased to Ontario/Quebec politics that treat all the other provinces as trivial outposts because Canada in its foundation had nothing much beyond Niagara Falls.
