I read some the comics way back when, and also some reviews of the movie.

And made a connection.

Wakanda is astonishingly technologically advanced and avoided interference from outside by being invisible.

Only two of the main roles are played by white actors: Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. Interestingly, both had main roles in The Lord of the Rings saga (as Bilbo Baggins and Gollum, respectively).

Clearly, in Black Panther, they're the Tolkien whites. :mrgreen:
