The random firing of neurons...

Postby Nikki Nyx » Wed Feb 14, 2018 3:38 am

Similar to the subreddit "Shower Thoughts"...

I was listening to the Smashing Pumpkins song "Siva" today when I realized that "I decay" and "IDK" sound exactly alike. Coincidence? Or emblematic of the erosion of the English language?

It is completely coincidental that the French word for "cheese" is an English description of how cheese is made: fromage..."from age."

My sister used to work for a department called New Directions. When she first told me who she worked for, I asked, "Nude what??"

Racism is the belief that a person is either superior or inferior based solely on:
• whether the person's distant ancestors migrated out of Africa or not,
• which route those ancestors followed, and
• where those ancestors eventually settled.

It's not the only one. Penisland.com is a parody site. However, there actually is an East Pen Island in Husdon's Bay: https://www.google.ca/maps/place/East+P ... 88.6291318

It's got 15 reviews, some of which are worth the read. 8-)

How do people fail to see that religion for adults is the same as a child having an imaginary friend?

Speaking of imaginary friends.
When I was a kid, I had an imaginary friend named Herkimer that used to make me laugh. What I was really doing was replaying old Bugs Bunny cartoons in my head but when my brothers asked me what I was laughing at, I'd say, "Herkimer is talking to me."
That usually shut them up.
Years later, we were all grown up, sitting around the table drinking, playing cards and I was with a girlfriend and my brothers brought up Herkimer to try and embarrass me. It was working until I told them, "You know, I used to get up in the middle of the night with the urge to set your beds on fire while you slept. It was only because Herkimer stopped me that I didn't."
That shut them up.

I too had an imaginary friend tormenter... let me see... I believe he was somehow associated with a church and goes by many names these days... He did help me get my first girl, the daughter of a Baptist minister. I haven`t thought of him in years.
