Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I've always wondered about the name fragment "Pepperidge". Is it "Pepper Ridge" or "Peppe Ridge", or maybe "Pepper Idge"? Wouldn't another R in there have helped out somehow?

Meh. Apparently Pepper Ridge forgot their R along the way.
