Do you use Evian, Perrier, or S. Pellegrino in your humidifier?

I use sand. I'll be damned if I'm going to do the humidifier's work for it by providing it with condensed humid.

Sand? Well in that case wouldn`t granite be a better choice – thus not imposing upon the ocean`s condensed humid to do the work?

It is granite. How small does a rock have to be before it stops being a rock and becomes a grain of sand?

Sand isn't a proper name for types of rock. One atom of granite is granite.

rock: A lump or mass of hard consolidated mineral matter
sand: A loose material consisting of grains of rock or coral

Hmmmm.....seems "grains of sand" is somewhat of a misnomer, yet at the beach you often hear this phrase.

I was going for sand being more like grit size. Ain't the dictionary wonderful??????

Edit: Oh........lets look up grain?
grain: A relatively small granular particle of a substance
granular: Composed of or covered with particles resembling meal in texture or consistency

particles..... meal.....Why this reductio absurdity could go on forever.

OK. The sand consists of little pieces of granite. :beee:

Uh uh. One molecule of quartz, one of feldspar and one of mica is granite. Or maybe they're actually mixtures. No - quartz is good for molecules - Si O2.

A couple of days ago – in the late afternoon, I saw the moon in a nearly full display. Can I claim I have seen a not so super blue blood moon? It wasn`t reddish – rather whitish.
