This one's more interesting:

Hey, it even talks about how "the entire concept of colour only exists in our brains" towards the end (around 10:50 or so).

This suggests that it is in the eyes of the beholder, and not the brain...

The exact physical causes of colour blindness are still being researched but it is believed that colour blindness is usually caused by faulty cones but sometimes by a fault in the pathway from the cone to the brain.

Colour is still in the brain. Analogy: Just because the signal isn't being received by your TV doesn't mean your TV isn't where the picture would still exist.

That was an interesting. The actual experiment itself, at the beginning is really beautiful and has a lovely movement.

I tried, when I was a kid to reproduce a scene from a science fiction film, where a watery living planet forms structures in the water. In the movie they reversed the footage of a similar experiment to the one in the video, (milk, food dye and soap liquid) by using silver paint on some dark liquid. I could never get it to work.

There are probably lots of interesting special effects for movies that can be done with different liquids. Sadly computer based graphics will replace this knowledge.

Do you remember the 1953 version of War of the Worlds? For the atomic explosion mushroom clouds, the SFX team poured over exposed orange liquid into an absolutely clear glass water tanks, filmed it at high speed and flipped the fame upside down and double exposed the footage.

A new Crashcourse series has begun:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdd9y3U9iSI
Interesting beginning. I don't know anything about this subject and would like to see where it goes from here. The things she says about Guns, Germs, and Steel intrigues me because I've always remained on the fence about that book, but I didn't know enough about what I didn't know about it to know whether or not I could come to any conclusion.

I watch Dezignated Survivor on wenzdayz. But maybe not much longer. Its ABC'z attempt to rezurrect the majik uv 24.

It started out OK and I wuz hoping it woud improov, but not so far. Its actually gotten crummyer.

Now that I'm riting about it - yes, I'm dun. Wen the 'story' woud be over if a karakter just made a fone call, my suspension uv disbelief takes a beating.

Dafuq? I see it good in Canada here, eh?
