My daily calendar comes with occasional bits of trivia, like this one:

"When in Japan, slurp your noodles. It's considered polite to do so."

But in the anime I've been watching, whenever the hero slurps his noodles, the nasty girl hits him in the head and calls him rude.

I'm so confused!
