On serious reflection over a pack of beer, I've decided that using my remote WITH its limitations, is just the right amount of exercise I need to keep my arm in shape......... to drink beer.

Its all in how you look at it.

Just be careful where you point it!

How do nipple clamps improve keyboarding? :befuddled:

Someone gave me a thing. I saw it and said to myself, "that's a squash!" Then my mind went blank. I don't deal with squashes anymore. I know some have inedible rinds, and some get thrown at houses the day after Halloween, and...that's about it.

So, what kind of squash is this?

Image

It's got fluting along the sides of the round end:

Image

I used google image search 'cause I'm ever-hopeful, and this is what I got: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbs ... 36&bih=735

I'm pretty sure my squash is neither (a) blue, nor (b) a shoe. Which is sad, really, 'cause I'd know what to do with a (a) blue (b) shoe! (I'd eat it.)

Can't blame you. I never trust squashes. They always change the deal at the last moment. It's really hard to nail them down to anything solid.

They are actually a type of food. Go figure!

I tell ya, I just `gotta love the ingenuity of my countrymen. On the final day, with everyone holding their breath or loudly sipping air across their clinched teeth – someone came up with a plan to take our minds off of the world class disaster that would be a Trump win. So at 5am this morning, they created a diversion – and drones, helicopters, TV talking heads, and man on the street ignoramuses have all chimed in on the cause and solution – of a sinkhole, whether adjacent buildings will collapse, how long it will take to fix it, and of course who is to blame. It would make Barnum & Bailey proud.

Well, that is a real nice hole. Maybe we can throw Trump into it tomorrow! Looks like there's already some sewage in there anyway, amiright?

Now there is an idea, and indeed he would fit right in, sewage and all - redundant of course. They are busy pouring in concrete in an attempt to seal the hole, and as with poor old Jimmy, it would be good to have a where did he go moment or two, before we completely forget about him.

It's worth dropping him in there just to see if the sewage would leave. Think of the potential for water purification technology!

That is true - sewage has its pride after all. But if he was slowly dissolved there, then we would know where he wound up, and that would be too bad. Nynuop, better that he just disappears all together without anybody knowing, much less caring, where he slinked off to.

It's a beautiful morning. Got up at 6am, started a fire in the pit, got a brisket on. About to eat biscuits and gravy. Then go shoot {!#%@} for a couple hours. Then hang out by the pit and dink beer. Life is pretty great.

Butternut squash

Postby TJrandom » Tue Nov 15, 2016 10:41 pm

Peeled, scraped, and diced butternut squash in preparation for cookies and baked squash. The cubes are being frozen to preserve the fruit and await the final steps. If it all works out and I like the final results, I`ll plant a few of the seeds I have set aside to dry, next spring.

Grilled sounds good...

No sooner had I deposited my sliced and diced butternut to the freezer, than my wife retrieved some of it and made `oatmeal/raisin/butternut` cookies. Much better than pumpkin. Better flavour, creamy, and not watery as is pumpkin.

There were other great things about them, too! Leave a stem on one and you could dig a trench in a scalp nicely.

Did I mention I worked with my cousins?
