She was serious, educated, sensible, and as far as possible, rigid in her difficult attempts to introduce stores that could not have been anything but personally painful to her.
And in that capacity here choice of newsworthy subjects was the best example of their unfortunate kind.

This! Why would you sharpen this?!

"Alas poor Gord!" we hear you mutter,
".....was struck down... and spread like butter",
His mother shamed, in a forum post,
"I read that son, Look out! You're Toast!"

Gord ducked down, as he was able..
to hide beneath the kitchen table,
"Listen Gord! Do you know who I am?"
as mother opened some lethal jam

Gord, yelled up, "I'll post a retraction
if you halt this buttering action"

but mum was strong and full of might
and made some Gord flavoured Vegemite.

So remember children, and fear the most,
Don't mention mother, in a post,
Trolls don't make this "living hell"
It's when your mother posts, as well,
:D

So my eagerly awaited little package of joy arrived at Club UPS five days ago and probably got the spa treatment on its first day there. And according to their records, it has been out on sightseeing tours of the local hot spots daily for the last four days.

It could be a little beat by now and, for all I (and the nice caretakers) know, perhaps adopted new owners anyway and wont be coming home soon... :glare:

I've picked up a nasty redirect virus on my computer, and I haven't been able to get rid of it. I've tried Rkill, Kaspersky Protection, and FixTDSS.exe from Symantec, but none of them can find the problem.

It's driving me 'round the bend.

I cannot get rid of the damn thing! I don't even know what to call it, so I can't find anything useful on a google search.

Here's what I can say about it: I have google chrome open to a webpage, for instance, and I want to click a link that I trust. When I click on it, though, instead I get sent to another website, often something like ad.coupon or r.searchgot or even random antivirus websites (what the hell is THAT all about?!). But it doesn't happen every time. Sometimes my link goes right to where I want it to go.

There's also another problem: While looking for the things I've tried, this virus has redirected me to sites that mimic the ones I want to reach. I can tell I'm not where I meant to go, though, because the address in the address bar is wrong, so I close the window and try again until I'm at the correct address. It has also, randomly, either prevented me from downloading the antivirus programs I was trying to get, or else redirected me to download a fake antivirus program (which again I was lucky enough to recognise, and cancel during download). It's taken me several hours to get the programs that I was looking for, and they still haven't been able to detect anything wrong on my system.

I think it's getting close to BASEBALL BAT TIME!!

It stopped. I don't know why it stopped! What did I do? I didn't do anything! WHY DID IT STOP?!

It's tricking me somehow. :| All my scans said the same thing: "No threats detected". The antiviruses didn't DO anything. Why isn't the virus working anymore? It's a trap! It's gotta be a trap! AUGH!!! :budo:

That sounds like a `cursor hover` problem that I have with 8.1. Without `clicking`, if I allow my cursor to cross over, or hover on a linked image, it sometimes triggers the link. I suspect that there is a setting somewhere to limit, or prevent it.

No-o-o-o, I wasn't getting that sort of thing, I had to click for it to trigger. On the other hand, I could also just click anywhere on a page and have an unexpected page open -- even something like clicking on the scroll button on an antivirus site.

sooooo......I'm negotiating network talent contracts for 2017. It is rather late in the year for this. I'm not getting sensible replies from the network. The network wanted an urgent resolution by Friday, just passed. We didn't reach an agreement.

This morning, on Monday, a story appears in the newspaper. The network's CEO had an affair with an employee. In 4 hours the networks shares have collapsed by roughly 10% or $110 million.

I now realise why I wasn't getting any attention from network management. I'm not sure how to play this one now.

Thank you Gord. I will keep that in mind.

As I get a commission of around 10% I really don't want 10% of a sexual favour. I would assume that means I simply get to hold someone's hand in a very erotic manner.

One girl I dated recently, we held hands on our first date, and as far as she was concerned, that was as good as a marriage vow. It's apparently an Asian thing. She was super-pissed when I said I couldn't come over to her place for dinner next day, because I already had another date scheduled.

I've been dating Amanda for thirteen years and we still hold hands. Amanda claims that's a wedding vow. I claim it is practice for when I'm 90 and she has to steady me to get to my walking frame. :D
