Well, maybe the news was too good to be true. The CT technician later read the recent scan and found a small spot that my oncologist missed when he read it. So the oncologist gave me a call to let me know, saying it was only a millimetre or two, and recommended that I have another CT in two months to see if there is growth. This CT, he said, was at a finer resolution than those taken in the past, so it is possible that it has been there all along and may not be cancer. Good to know, but still a royal concern.

Shizenhousen.

I'm rushing my visit to next year.

I hate to be a downer, but most people don't live more than 5 years after being diagnosed, even with treatment. It's a sad reality.

True dat. But I`m not going back to refresh my memory on the stats, and as everyone, hope to be the exception. I know of one individual with my particular bug, as best I can determine that is - who is still kicking around after 18 years.

Well, yes of course, and I have enjoyed every dram of it. But I have been helping along the production too - by good deeds, planting trees, reclaiming coal strip mined ground and donating ground for public parks where others plant the trees for me, so all in, I do wish to consume just a bit more. Of course it won`t matter in the end - when it is time to stop, it will be so.

Well, I've had about Five go arounds with Comcast regarding my cable tv service. Its almost like a "study" is going on about how bad they can get and still have any customers at all?

I hate monopolies....foreign support staff.... and corporate disinformation "consumer"plans. Why Comcast isn't fined out of existence is beyond me. One final "all in" price and the actual bill has additional fees for services I don't use and don't want. Its consumer Fraud that everyone can see.....the regulators get stung by it at their own homes as well..... and the subservience to Big Biz just keeps on rolling.

At least...……….they aren't shooting at me.

I have heard Debtors Prison IS making a comeback here in the GOUSA. I think it started in certain states for non-payment of child support and here and there is spreading to other areas of financial concern? As Comcast/Universal moves to own everything, I'm sure your Cable Bill will eventually get added to the list.

I haven't checked for absolutely sure....but I think when you first sign up with Comcast you are billed in arrears after you have watched tv...….but over time they transistion you to paying in advance so they can cut you off before you actually owe them any $$. Again....don't know for sure, that was just an impression I had that my bill came earlier and earlier. Pay ahead or a deposit....it makes sense and is "business appropriate." Its how poor Comcast is in coordinating its world wide operation....I have yet to get the same answer to a question from any tech agent I talk to and its all too common for agreement reached over the phone with one is mysteriously canceled by the powers that be behind the scenes in whatever review process they have...…………...then they lie about what their policies are.

Didn't Google just remove their slogan of Don't Be Evil. Thought I heard that a few months ago. I mean, do you wanna own the world or not? Bezos sets a high target they all hunger after...……….

Yep...…...Comcast is just organized false advertising, bait and switch, partial information, false promises.

Sad they get away with it. So you have to ………………….wonder...………………..how that happens? Which immediately provides its own answer.

I had that problem from Cox. When I canceled cable they offered to let me keep it for 3 months free. So I did and then still cancelled three months later. Every few months they would call and try to get me to add it back and even to add landline service along with it. I told them I didn't want it and it was too expensive so they asked how much I would be willing to pay and I said "$0. If you want to provide the service I won't stop you but I'm not going to pay you for it because I don't want it."

A friend was paying $25 per month for barebones cable, with very few channels. I brought him a digital antenna that cost $25, which picks up 6 local channels. A savings of $300 per year.

Comcast is "too big" to try to keep customers. I'm about 10% into cutting the cord now....my habit pattern is totally tied to cable. I can get ONE oat signal at my house 30 miles from the antenna array. 3 years ago I terminated because they would not give me a new users rate until "not a customer" for 3 months. I stayed away for 2 years....leaving Dish for the very same reason.

I love the internet deals for $70 and when you try to sign up using them, Comcast routinely says that offer is not available in "my area." One....I don't believe them. Two...it should be illegal. Three....A Zidoo has been ordered and should have been here already. Gee....Comcast and amazon. Life of a consumer vs monopolies.

Second date went well. Except for when she mentioned avoiding lactose on a whim and getting regular laser "acupuncture".

My eyes rolled back in my head, I took a deep breath, and Mr Skeptic came out. I can't help it.

And after a not too lengthy spiele (I hope), I concluded, eat what you want, spend your money on what you want. It's your body, your money. If it makes you feel better, I don't care. I'd prefer a nice massage, tho'...

My eyes rolled back, blinked a few times, and I took a much needed 'nother breath.

She still seems keen for a third.

But that's not what's bothering me. I woke up at 3 AM and couldn't go back to sleep after a dream that essentially re-lived my relationship with a dear ex. In powerpoint presentation format. Summary. You know what dreams are like. With a bunch of whacky, nonsensical filler between.

It's been years. I still love her. She's getting married. I'm very happy for her. We loved each other, but weren't quite by a fraction of time or twist of fate in just the right dimension at the same moment... You know what I mean? Slightly out of phase. Blurry around the edges.

I trust my dreams. I know my subconscious brain is trying to tell me something. Is it just purging old memories in readiness for new? (Time to move along, son.) Or is it warning me against something I've picked up in her personality? (Red flags! Alert! Alert!) Or am I wondering if I'm ready for another heartbreak? (You soft {!#%@}.) Or hardening my heart? (Suck it up soldier!)

Or reminding me of mistakes I've made that ended relationships, and try not to do it again... (History: Repeat.)

I wish dreams were more specific. At least include a couple chapters on methods and materials, and a conclusion. Printed hardcopy would be helpful. High-def video I could make some cash on pornhub.
