Hi, I'm new.

Postby Briff the Darg » Mon Sep 04, 2017 3:31 pm

I found this forum while looking for a place to discuss sleep paralysis, something I've been dealing with for many years. I decided to join because I dig the general vibe of the people here and a majority of the topics discussed. I'm familiar with the occult and mind altering drugs (ya know, things that tend to fuel insanity)

Dunno what else to say, except I'm a millennial... Go easy on me

Hey, Briff...pleasure to meet you! I've also suffered from sleep paralysis (and accompanying hypnagogic hallucinations). My daughter is a millennial and she lives with me...I consider her my equal in all but life experience, so no worries.

there is a story about sleep paralysis - it suggests trying to make a small movement - like moving one hand or foot .
and increasing movement to snap out of it .
I experienced sleep paralysis years ago and assumed it was totally my fault ; and not common .
for the real minority ; there will be no justice , there will be no peace .
makes sense 2me , so it has 2be wrong .

Well, sleep paralysis comes from your brain, so yes, it technically is your own fault.

It's more common than is commonly thought. (Yep. It's getting late for me.) Mine stemmed from chronic sleep deprivation, constantly disturbed sleep from chronic pain, and fragmented sleep architecture including alpha waves intruding into delta sleep. Pretty sure none of that was my fault. I would have slept if I could have. Being able to move generally ended a particular episode, but didn't stop the episodes from occurring.
