"Prager U" Busted

Postby Bart Stewart » Wed Dec 20, 2017 5:25 pm

If you watch Youtube videos much you may see a pop-up ad from something called Prager U. It is invariably some dude delivering a brief speech on some subject that is just to the right of Rush Limbaugh. Climate change is rubbish. Evolution never happened. Etc.

I assumed Prager U was just a university that catered to a very conservative mentality. I was wrong. Prager U is not a university in any respect. It has now been utterly busted, by none other than that superstar of rationality -- Potholer54 !!!

This video just came out today. If you don't have 18 minutes right now, hold on to this link, because this is one to see.

Bump - Thanks...

But I must point out a minor blemish in the video – where it suggests that plate tectonics caused the Japan islands to be created instead of the tears of Amaterasu-ōmikami, the sun goddess. Everyone knows that it was her tears that caused plate tectonics…

I just finished playing a free online game series that blends the Japanese mythology with science fiction. It's here, if you're interested. The episodes increase in difficulty, but there's no illogical use of inventory items. If you're observant, they're challenging, but not ridiculously difficult. (The correct order of the episodes is Jinja, Island, Dokkoy, Ruin, Octlien. Not that you can't play them out of order, but the story might not make sense.)

Does Prager claim that Prager U is anything but informative videos from a conservative viewpoint?

While I couldn`t find where they claim it, misinformation seems more accurate. So `anything but informative` seems to be spot on.
