About The Skeptics Society Forum

Postby Pyrrho » Thu Mar 10, 2005 12:24 am

Welcome to The Skeptics Society Forum.

We hope you'll enjoy stimulating discourse with others of like -- and different -- mind.

Like The Skeptics Society, this forum is dedicated to the promotion of science and critical thinking, and to the investigation of extraordinary claims and revolutionary ideas. This forum has been developed by and is maintained by unpaid volunteers. No funds from The Skeptics Society have been or will be used to maintain this forum, domain, software, or hardware.

Opinions expressed on this site are those of the authors, and not necessarily those of the Skeptics Society, its Board of Directors, or its members. Posted messages frequently include hyperlinks to other websites; if you follow such hyperlinks, you do so at your own risk. The Skeptics Society, including its officers and members, and The Skeptics Society Forum, including its administrators and moderators, cannot be held responsible or liable for content located at any website that is hyperlinked in any given posted message.

Registration for membership on this forum is free. You must have a valid email address to register. Only registered users may post to topics, however, everyone is welcome to read all available topics.

If problems occur during the registration process, or if you tried to register and did not receive an email requesting you to validate your registration, you may send an email to skepticforum@gmail.com to notify an administrator. Please include your Username, real name, and email address.

If you wish to register complaints, you may send a Private Message (PM) to an administrator, or you may send an email to skepticforum@gmail.com with details of your complaint. An administrator will acknowldege your email, however, we do not guarantee that administrators will take action or that administrators will conduct email discussions regarding the problem. Primarily, it is a system for notifying administrators that a problem exists. Our time is limited and we seek to be fair to as many users as possible. Please reserve the complaint system for matters that truly merit notifying the administrators.

We ask that all users take time to read the Forum Rules and Acceptable Use Policy. Our intent is to provide an intellectually challenging environment for rational, polite discussion. To that end, we need the cooperation of all users.

And of course

Maestro, who was able to take an idea and realize it through quite a bit of hard work and dedication.
